USA Financial Formulas Unveils New Buffered ETF Strategy
Apr 25
2025

The new strategy provides advisors and their clients with a different approach to managing risk.

USA Financial Formulas, a national investment advisory firm, announced the launch of its new Buffered ETF Strategy, designed to help investors navigate market volatility while maintaining growth potential. USA Financial Formulas is a subsidiary of USA Financial. Other subsidiaries include USA Financial Securities (broker-dealer), USA Financial Exchange (TAMP), USA Financial Insurance Services (insurance wholesaler) and USA Financial Advisor Advancement (marketing, consulting, and technology).

The Buffered ETF Strategy aims to provide downside protection through predetermined “buffer” zones while allowing for limited upside participation in market gains. The strategy leverages multiple ETF offerings in an effort to reduce volatility by staggering the timeframes associated with the different buffered holdings being utilized. This timely launch comes as investors seek solutions to manage risk in today’s market environment.

The team at USA Financial is excited to make the strategy available to advisors and investors. “Our new Buffered ETF Strategy is a game-changer for advisors and their clients who may not have the risk tolerance and/or time horizon to endure some of the volatility that naturally occurs within the stock market,” said Mike Walters, CEO of USA Financial. “This strategy is an innovative risk-managed investment solution and a great complement to some of the other tactical strategies we offer.”

It is particularly relevant in today's market landscape, with heightened volatility and economic uncertainty. By combining the protection features of buffered ETFs with USA Financial Formulas' tactical approach, the strategy offers a compelling solution for investors concerned about market fluctuations without having to sit on the sidelines.

The Buffered ETF Strategy is now available through financial advisors who work with USA Financial Formulas.

In this episode of The RARE Advisor, host Aaron Grady and practice management consultant Allan Oehrlein continue their discussion on time allocation by exploring what comes next: operationalizing structure across the entire advisory team. Aaron and Allan outline how designed access—not unlimited access—creates scalability and a stronger client experience, while reducing reactivity, burnout, and advisor bottlenecks. They also offer practical challenges advisors can implement immediately to redesign their phone and scheduling processes in ways that elevate both team culture and enterprise value.
