2022

USA Financial taps S&P DJI’s multi-asset indexing capability to launch first investment strategy of its’ kind.

USA Financial Formulas, a national investment advisory firm, announces a new strategy offering; the USAF S&P PRISM® Model is offered by USA Financial based on a license to use S&P Dow Jones Indices’ underlying index intellectual property. USA Financial Formulas is a subsidiary of USA Financial, a 5-time Inc. 5000 honoree. Other subsidiaries include USA Financial Securities (broker-dealer), USA Financial Exchange (TAMP), USA Financial Insurance Services (insurance wholesaler) and USA Financial Advisor Advancement (marketing, consulting, and technology).

This strategy licenses and uses the S&P PRISM® ETF Tracker Index, the first Multi-Asset Managed Account Index designed by S&P Dow Jones Indices for use by an asset manager. This strategy will be added to the existing portfolio lineup within USA Financial Formulas.

The team at USA Financial is excited to make the strategy available to advisors and investors. “Our entire team is thrilled to offer this strategy to our advisors and the investors they serve,” said Mike Walters, CEO of USA Financial. “This strategy is a great complement to some of the other strategies we offer to investors. Adding another risk-managed solution to our portfolio of strategies is a win; the fact that we get a powerhouse research partner alongside us is a win-win.”

S&P Dow Jones Indices is pleased that USA Financial Formulas has selected one of our multi-asset indices as an underlying benchmark for its new index-based investment strategy. S&P DJI is proud of its role in developing independent, trusted, and transparent benchmarks, and helping customers such as USA Financial Formulas with innovative indexing solutions,

Philip Brzenk, Head of Multi-Asset Indices at S&P DJI.

The USAF S&P PRISM® Model is an ETF strategy that employs a newly created S&P Index, the S&P PRISM® ETF Tracker. This strategy leverages the rules-based index designed for consistent growth through changing market environments. The PRISM® methodology looks at four key market indicators: momentum, market bubble, recession probability, and volatility. In addition to evaluating various market indicators, the strategy’s diversified set of asset classes includes the ability to invest in commodities which are often tapped into during bear markets. This comprehensive approach brings together a tactical/alternative method for an investor’s portfolio.
