Arts & Culture
Grand Rapids was originally known as "Furniture City" dating back to the 19th Century so we have a long history rooted in artistry. If you're visiting in the summer or fall months we have a couple popular art festivals that occur, Festival of Arts and ArtPrize. The Festival of Arts is held on a weekend in June while ArtPrize, which has become an increasingly popular independent festival, occurs annually within September and October.
If you have time and are interested, you can check out one of our museums which are all located in the downtown area.
